LEGAL

PLANS FOR LEGAL MATTERS

Before you use Ordnance Survey mapping products in the legal document that you are currently producing, ask yourself these two questions.  Do you know and understand the tolerances and limitations of the mapping that you intend to use?  Is that mapping fit for the purpose intended?

Many legal practitioners continue to use mapping that can be out by more than a few centimetres! The mapping you could be about to use may contain features mapped two or even three metres out of position!

DO YOUR CLIENTS REQUIRE HIGH ACCURACY MAPPING TO PROPERLY COMPLETE THEIR LEGAL PROCESS?

Many legal processes rely upon plans to accurately reflect or clarify the intentions of the parties. All too often low accuracy plans lead to situations where future difficulties are un-avoidable.  Poorly drafted plans lead to uncertainty. Uncertainty leads to doubt and disagreement.  Disagreement often leads to disputes.  Disputes are always un-welcome.  They cause expense and a waste of time and resources for the people affected.
